Describe your product's design and/or technological innovation.
The IN220 combines superior aesthetics with the energy efficiency and streamlined architecture of Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) access control. PoE-enabled access control allows facilities to leverage existing network infrastructure for enhanced security and easier, more cost-effective installations.
The IN220 uses standard IEEE 802.3af PoE-enabled network infrastructure for both power and data, streamlining the installation process, eliminating proprietary equipment, and enabling real-time communication. The lock also significantly reduces standby power consumption compared to traditional access control solutions and reduces materials by combining several separate components into a single lock. Integrating several access control components directly into the lock also reduces hardware and labor costs allowing facilities to expand their access control network easily and affordably.
Featuring HID® multiCLASS SE® technology, the IN220 supports a wide range of credential types and HID Mobile Access® powered by Seos® for use with mobile devices with Bluetooth® Smart and/or NFC technology. A privacy button enables local lockdown as well as privacy functionality for applications such as restrooms. The IN220 features integrated ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 hardware, in cylindrical and mortise lock and exit device configurations. It also suites with the IN Series of access control locks, allowing facilities to have a consistent aesthetic regardless of technology.
Describe the three most important functional features of this product. What sets it apart from other products in this category?
1. The IN220 PoE lock provides online access control at a fraction of the cost, allowing facilities to leverage existing network infrastructure for enhanced security and easier, more cost-effective installations. Corbin Russwin and SARGENT are the only manufacturers to offer PoE access control locks.
2. The IN220 offers 86% energy savings compared to traditional access control. IN220 reduces the need for access control panels, traditional power supplies and wiring, and re-uses a building’s structured cabling infrastructure.
3. IN220 supports a wide range of credential types and HID Mobile Access® for use with mobile devices with Bluetooth® Smart and/or NFC technology.
Describe the benefits that your product provides to the integrator, including value if applicable.
The IN220 benefits integrators through its ease of installation and its ability to increase their revenue. Its fast and easy installation allows integrators to increase their productivity and profitability, while expanding the access control opportunity with each customer. The multiCLASS SE reader also allows integrators to transition customers between card technologies and offer a future-proof solution. This IP-enabled solution uses industry standard PoE cabling and leverages integrators’ existing IT and security knowledge. ASSA ABLOY certification training provides hands-on experience, and integrators have access to local sales and technical support through ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions sales consultants.
